Sony’s PlayStation 5 games have suggested retail price of 80 euros

Sony is releasing the PlayStation 5 games developed by its own studios for a suggested retail price of $80. This makes the games 10 euros more expensive than what Sony is now asking for for its PlayStation 4 titles.

In a blog, Sony writes which of its games will be released simultaneously with the PlayStation 5 on November 19. These are games made by Studios owned by Sony. Demon’s Souls, Destruction All Stars have a suggested retail price of 80 euros. That seems to be the new standard price for “full” games.

Sony also releases Spider-Man: Miles Morales at the same time as the PlayStation 5. That game costs 60 euros, but presumably that’s a relatively short game. There will also be an Ultimate Edition, which also includes a remaster of PS4 game Spider-Man. That bundle costs 80 euros.

Sackboy A Big Adventure is also for sale immediately upon release, for that game Sony has a price of 70 euros. Astro’s Playroom will also be released, but that game will be installed for free on all PlayStation 5 consoles.

The prices listed are recommended prices, Sony will keep them selling digital games, but stores may be covered with physical versions. That’s also the case with PlayStation 4 games at the moment. Sony sells new titles digitally for 70 euros. That’s the case with Ghost of Tsushima. That game is in the Pricewatch for 56 euros.

Recreates have already indicated that they will make games more expensive for next-genconsoles. Games would have become much more complex in recent years, while the price has hardly increased. Most of them are announced increases of $60 to $70. The euro price may then be higher; that is also the case with Sony. The new games, which cost 80 euros here, get a price tag of $70.

Sony also mentions the suggested retail prices of accessories for the PlayStation 5. The new DualSense controller costs 70 euros and a 100 euro PULSE 3D headset with 3D audio support and microphones.

Also Sony is releasing an HD Camera with two 1080p lenses that is meant to be streamed, which costs 60 euros. Furthermore, a Media Remote will be released for 30 euros and a DualSense charging station to charge two controllers, which also costs 30 euros.

Sony also announces that a number of previously announced games will appear for both the PS5 and PS4. It’s horizon forbidden west, Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Sackboy A Big Adventure. Players who purchase the game for playstation 4 will receive a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version. The same goes for the disc version, the upgrade is already on the disc.

Sony announced the prices of the PlayStation 5 consoles during a PlayStation 5 Showcase livestream on Wednesday night. The blu-ray drive model costs 500 euros and the version without costs 400 euros. The consoles are otherwise identical in terms of hardware. In Europe, the consoles will be on sale from November 19th.
