Razer has shown the Naga Pro, a wireless gaming mouse that has three interchangeable side plates. With those side plates, gamers can choose whether they want 12, six or two extra buttons on the left side of their mouse. The mouse costs 170 euros.
Razer states that sideplate’s provides a balance between control and accessibility and has been developed for battleroyale and moba games. The two-button plate is for fps games, the 12-button plate is for mmo and rts games. According to Razer, this last record is ‘optimal’ for gamers who make great use of macros and separate features in games.
Users can set the buttons with the Razer Synapse software. each button can also be given an additional secondary function. Up to five memory profiles can be stored on the mouse itself.
Connection to the computer is via Razer’s HyperSpeed Wireless connection, via the 2.4GHz band. This connection allows a battery life of 100 hours. The mouse can also be connected via Bluetooth, then a battery life of 150 hours is feasible. The included charging cable allows the mouse to be charged during gaming. Wireless charging is also possible, although the separately available Razer Mouse Dock Chroma is required.
While the Naga Trinity used another 16,000dpi sensor, the Naga Pro uses a 20,000dpi sensor. The Naga Pro also has optical switches, where the Trinity uses mechanical switches. According to Razer, the optical variant must be able to withstand 70 million mouse clicks. The Razer Naga Pro is only available in black and is immediately available for $170.
