Yes you can install Windows 8 or any bootable OS like Linux distros. In case you don’t have any flash drives and you don’t have time or money to go out and buy one, you can use your android phones SD card as a bootable drive for Windows 8 install.
You can do this on Galaxy S3, S4 or Note 1, 2 , 3.
Here is what you will need to accomplish this.
An SD card that you don’t have anything important on or is empty. Make sure you format it in windows.
An app called USB Mass Storage Emulator from the Playstore. This will allow you to mount as USB and not the default MTP.
You can use the Windows 7 or Windows 8 USB boot utilities to make an ISO bootable. You can also use Unetbootin or LiLi to make a bootable ISO on your SD Card.
This trick works on most newer computers but when you are finished the key is during the boot logo of your laptop or desktop PC you gotta hit the escape or whatever F key gives you the boot options. You have to ensure that you can be able to boot from USB. If you are not quick, the PC will boot before power is given to your phone and the SD card. The USB Mass Storage Emulator requires you to be rooted in order to make your SD card show up as a drive and not the phone MTP thing.
If you did everything right, you should see your PC boot from your SD Card.
