Huami announces 1980s-look Amazfit smartwatch

The Chinese manufacturer Huami has presented the Amazfit Neo, a smartwatch without a touchscreen and with an 80s look. The watch has no touchscreen and has a monochrome LCD.

The monochrome screen has a diagonal of 1.2″ and an unknown resolution in a 40x41mm case and 11.7mm thick. The watch has a heart rate monitor and several other sensors, but GPS is missing. The 32g clock should according to the manufacturer last about four weeks on a single battery charge, thanks to the built-in 180mAh battery.

The control of the software, its own operating system, is done with the four buttons. The screen has a backlight that can be activated with movement. The backlight can also be connected with a button. Huami’s Amazfit watches are known for the Bip series, which earlier this year featured the Bip S appeared. Watches in that series often cost around 70 euros, the Neo is in Huami’s web store on AliExpress for $50.
