If you’re a console gamer and you have yet to jump on the Diablo III bandwagon, August 19th is the date to keep an eye on — Blizzard announced today that it plans to release Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The expansion will feature everything from the original release, in addition to the expansion Reaper of Souls, available on consoles for the first time. We’re not sure what makes the version so “evil” (maybe the jewel case animates in the night and loots your home or attacks your pets), but we’ll take Blizzard’s word for it.
If you’ve already been playing through the original Diablo III on your home console of choice, fret not — legacy players will have no trouble transferring their game data to the new edition.
As stated, the game will be available on August 19th. It’ll cost you $59.99 on Xbox One and Playstation 4, and $39.99 on Xbox 360 and PS3. Players that pre-order will receive Infernal Pauldrons — flame-augmented plate armor — as a bonus, which will surely give players an upper hand during the first part of the game.
